LASIK Eye Surgery and Than Becoming a Pilot ?
Hi guys,
My eye vision is 2.25 L and 2.00R. I would like to do this Lasik eye Surgery so than I can see everything without needing a specs. My question is, is this possible to do and can I still become a Pilot or will I have problems later in Life ?
Thanks.
YES DON'T DO LASIK!!!!! You will ruin your military flying career!! PRK is the only authorized corrective surgery for pilots. I am going to flight school myself and have researched like crazy! Current prices are around $3500 for both eyes. The military also requires one year healing time after surgery; so plan accordingly! Good Luck!

LikeDislike"Vision correction with lasers became available in the U.S. in 1995. Since that time some 3 million plus Americans have been party to the procedure, which reshapes the cornea. Lasik is the most used version version of the surgery, it takes about 10 minutes for each eye. This new technique was approved in October of 1995.
This new technique of new eye allegra is known as wavefront-guided laser eye surgery (aka Lasik), researchers say that it reduces the most common side effects of standard laser procedures, including problem night vision. The surgery also offers patients higher chances of achieving 20/20 vision."

LikeDislikeI don't think there must be necessarily ill-will from the pharmaceutical companies and the medical institution in promoting the drugging of the mentally disturbed in the sense of proclaiming something and doing a totally different thing as Brian pointed it out. It is probably just the way they have got to help. In their view, probably, there are legitimate reasons to appeal to various drugs in order to “control”. In other words, the use of drugs is justified from their standpoint. We must be careful to not tint the word “control” with bad/good connotations. Instead, we must understand the reality behind the word.
As the others comments stressed, human reality is seldom simple to understand so a process took place in science involving the breaking down of this reality into various simple aspects and studying each one separately. Medicine didn’t escape this line of thought so various medical specialties appeared. Each one dedicated to some aspect/organ of the human body. Wikipedia lists nearly 50 specialties. Psychiatry itself as a branch of medicine has its own subspecialties. Even the so called alternative or “holistic” medicine has divisions.
So, the incapacity to handle human problems as a whole led to the appearance [...]

In some countries I am sure they eat eye of something, no? Need recipe.
Hope he is doing well!

Orange on blue is not good contrast and is hard to read. On the Broncos site they have a white outline around the orange text or have white on blue. Please update this on your header. I also suggest going to http://www.dafont.com and finding a font that looks more like the Broncos font. Thanks!

LikeDislikeEven though you might be excited to discover an infertility clinic so it is possible to start treatment and accomplish pregnancy, it is crucial that you do not rush into anything. Not all clinics and practices are the exact same, so you really have to slow down and take your time to make sure you decide on the treatment center that’s right for you.

LikeDislikeBy using the qualifier "advanced world" he makes it sound like he's only ignoring witch doctors in mud huts, but what he's actually doing is eliminating the only countries in the world which have actual free markets for health care, and are TREMENDOUS successes. For one small example, go to /r/transgender and ask about Thailand. They've got a steady flow of "medical tourists" coming from all over the world, including the US, for transsexual surgical procedures. Or for an example within the US, look at laser eye surgery. It's one of the few procedures which has gotten steadily cheaper over the past 20 years, even as equipment has become more advanced and procedures have become more effective and more safe. Why? Because as an elective procedure that's generally not covered by insurance it's one of the few sectors of medicine practiced in the US outside of the government/insurance complex. The free market works great everywhere it's tried.

LikeDislikeI think that we hear far too much about who and what people do with their dicks and not enough about what they do with their money, their power, and their influence. And if they use those things to rape, we don't even talk about it like that -- we talk about it like some seedy human interest story where evidence of someone's sexuality, regardless if it is expressed criminally or not, is far more interesting and vital to the functioning of our government than assuring that our officials are not corrupt.

LikeDislike> according to recent survey data from the American Medical Group Association, Damn that. get real numbers, then have a conversation. They should also check to see if there is enough work in the locations these women are to justify being full time. They may even check to see if any of these part time doctors volunteer. If there is a female plastic surgeon or eye doctor who administers laser eye surgery, are they really paying back the taxpayer who paid for so much of their training? This entire article is drivel, in my opinion.

LikeDislikeI understand your hesitation... People keep telling me how wonderful that Lasik eye surgery is, but I keep wondering but what about that one percent (or whatever number) who end up worse off? Since I have been able to get by quite well with eyeglasses for more than half a century now, I have no pressing need for laser surgery so I have no plans on having it.
On the other hand, I have always avoided chiropractors, fearing the possiblity of suffering some kind of damage by having my spine, etc. manipulated and moved around (I don't know anyone who was ever hurt by that, it's just a concern I have always had)... Now, however, my various shoulder, neck, and back pains are really affecting my ability to exercise and my ability to sleep... so I had a preliminary chiropractic visit yesterday and my first treatment session coming up on Monday.

LikeDislikeOh, that. Okay. Filmmaking is about perspective in storytelling. Now some perspectives are lies about life in the sense that they tell a story that can not happen. I don't mean the line between fiction and non-fiction, because we as viewers suspend disbelief in order to indulge the storyteller. So we accept people surviving grenades, aliens, stuff like that, and although we broadly agree that it's fictional, there's always some human element that isn't. A human response, a human interest or action. Something to which the viewer can relate. In this case, the director abused his power by telling a story incompletely. For instance, the scene in which the doctor realizes the guy's a junkie, and backs away with a look of horror from his infected arm. And then gets all the medications (drugs) from the table. It tells a lie. What doctor would ever respond that way? They all take a Hippocratic oath. Every character in that story was incomplete. All out of the director's desire to portray, as the other guy put it, horror. However, horror is not a real aspect of human life. Though we may be horrified at some things, the story never ends there. So [...]

LikeDislikeMy father's been an active fire chief for forty-five years and frequently been on the news or in the paper. Most of the write-ups have left my daughter unimpressed. Recently, though, a zealous reporter researched our family history and wrote a human interest piece on him that included the surprising tidbit that one of his female relatives was rumored to have been a vampire. This piece is cherished by my sixteen-year-old and earned her immediate celebrity status among her friends. Go figure.

LikeDislike3D is a nice innovation but if you are visually disabled (left eye damaged) you can only see in Mono. So the 3D effect is unusable since it needs stereoscopic left and right eye vision. I'll be waiting for the holographic ones expected by 2020 along with the Holographic TV's maybe in 4K resolution (twice as good as 1080p and six stero sound tracks now in Japan Labs)

LikeDislikehmmm, so you are prepared to sneer at this reporting, but you do not provide any reason for why you think this is creative writing.
Is it not the case that the problem is this legal system which hides from the light of day ? If the legal system were open, the light of truth would be perfectly adequate to dispel rotten or biased reporting.
As it is, you are simply sneering at journalism of a perfectly reasonable human interest story. Unless, of course, you wish to go further and deny that this man is deserving of any human interest ?

LikeDislikethanks so much for all your responses. I am currently dating a guy who is goin through the motions of becoming a pilot... and he has such a powerful passion to fly. i often have looked at the negatives of this career choice, and so it has been so refreshing to see their is highlights and bonuses to us partnering together in this. I agree with a lot of you.. I hate seeing him be bored in his 9-5 job and whenever he talks about flying and being in a jet or even a plane he lights up. You've given me more hope for sticking this through even when things have been difficult.
