What Will He Feel Up to Doing After Lasik Surgery?
My husband wants to have lasik eye surgery done this Sat. We already have plans and apts to have a Swedish message that day. Will he feel up to it? He thinks he will be fine right after and able to see. I thought he was suppose to rest for the day. How did some of you feel the day of your surgery?

My husband felt fine. He should feel well enough for a massage.

LikeDislikeHe will have to pass on the swedish massage for the day. It is not wise to be active immediately after lasik surgery, there is too much risk for infection and/or other complications (like accidental eye injury, etc). These complications are greatly reduced about 24-48 hours after surgery. The doctors give those instructions with good reason, tell your hubby that if he wants to be able to enjoy seeing w/o glasses he needs to rest his eyes for the day. Take care.
